We’re excited to introduce you to Jamie Domachi, the Yocuda Partnership Manager. Jamie brings a wealth of experience in building strong partnerships within the tech space, and we’re thrilled to have him on board to help us expand our reach and impact. Read on to find out more about what makes him tick.
I joined Yocuda at the end of April 2024 and I am based out of the London HQ in Victoria, very conveniently located for my commute from Brighton where I live.
My job title is Partnerships Manager. My primary role is nurturing and managing existing relationships within our partner network, as well as building mutually beneficial relationships with new potential partners.
My current focus is working with partners and companies that connect retailers to their customers. This includes Point of Sale (POS) systems, Payment providers, CRM systems and Marketing platforms. Together we can create commercial value for each other whilst also providing our mutual retailers with a seamless in-store transaction and digital receipt journey for their customers.
My background is in the Hospitality Tech space where I originally helped pioneering food delivery apps, Deliveroo and Uber Eats, scale globally across different markets. Since then, I have consulted and worked for various early stage start-ups where I have specialised in building out Partner Ecosystems and unlocking key integrations with POS and Payment providers, as a key part of the Go-To-Market strategy.
I enjoy the complexity in building successful partnerships that create value for Yocuda, our Partners and our Mutual Clients. No partnership is the same which provides me with variety on a day-to-day basis and allows me to collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders.
I enjoy the occasional visit to a Men’s Fashion store to upgrade my wardrobe, I am someone who needs to try clothes on first so I haven’t quite moved to online shopping like a lot of people. Currently my favourite store is an independent one called Peggs & Son. They are based in Brighton, have a great variety of brands and the staff are really helpful whenever I visit.
Monzo really stands out for me and has reinvented how I bank, it makes it so easy to send and receive money on a daily basis. I have found it especially useful when travelling abroad as I no longer need to touch the local currency whilst also avoiding hefty overseas transaction charges.
Before joining Yocuda I took a short career break, spending a few months travelling around Asia and attempting to learn how to surf. I was lucky enough to visit 6 countries in total: Kuwait, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, India and Sri Lanka, the last of which I actually had my Yocuda interviews from remotely. I loved experiencing the variety of cultures and cuisines. My surfing slowly improved too, there’s photo evidence!
We’re confident that Jamie’s expertise and passion will be invaluable assets to Yocuda. You can connect with Jamie on LinkedIn or email him to find out more.
