As Business Development Manager, my main mission is to assist both current and potential retail clients in exploring the incredible possibilities of our digital receipts, loyalty programmes and customer data solutions. Essentially, I help retailers identify and engage with all their store customers in innovative ways.
It all started when I was a teenager working in a grocery store. From there, I embarked on an exciting journey with the Boots graduate scheme, working as a manager in their flagship Leeds Trinity store and working on some incredible transformation projects at their Head Office. Later, I led the warehousing team responsible for the speedy picking and packing of online orders. My passion for sales led me to the retail tech industry, and I’ve been helping businesses achieve their goals ever since.
For me, I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of sales the most. Each retailer has its own unique challenges and priorities. I love diving in, understanding individual needs and exploring tailored solutions.
Visiting a pet store is always a lot of fun with my pet labradoodle. It’s always a joy to explore these stores with him, although I have to keep an eye on him—he’s quite the treat connoisseur!
I couldn’t survive without Google Maps! I don’t have the best sense of direction, so it’s my trusty guide that helps me get around. Plus, it’s great for discovering nearby places with top reviews, especially when I’m on holiday and want to avoid potential “tourist traps.”
Ah, here’s a bit of musical trivia—I used to play the trumpet! Now, don’t be too impressed; I only passed my grade 1 exam, but I did get a distinction. My trumpeting days are long behind me, but I could probably still manage an out-of-tune rendition of “Happy Birthday” if the occasion calls for it.
